What if we were loved like dogs....

Do you own a dog or know someone who owns a dog? I mean, in the western climes. I don't know how dogs are being treated in Africa today, but as far as i can remember, dog owners in Nigeria where i grew up treated their dogs with utter disrespect because dogs were considered as domestic animals rather than pets. I am pretty sure most dog owners never had meal plan for their dogs. The poor dogs were left to hustle for food for themselves by eating anything edible and nasty around the house.
Coming to America, my niece whom i stayed with had two dogs. I can never forget the day my niece took one of her dods for surgery and the dog eventually died months later because of an infection. It was heart wrenching to watch her cry her eyes out as if she had lost a biological child.
That was my first experience with dogs in America, until i realized it wasn't just about my niece and her dogs, it is norm here. I know you're wondering why i am writing about dogs despite all the problems in this world. Yes! Exactly how i wondered about this hospital until i realized this "state of the art" hospital is a mainly for dogs.
Take a keen look at the picture and realize the power of love and the value we place in the things and people we love. This is how powerful love is. Love is a doing thing! never let anyone tell you otherwise. When you truly love something or a person, you will do anything within your power to protect, provide for and prevent any harm from coming close to that thing or person. you can never harm who love. it is humanly impossible to love and harm same time.
According to "The Creation Story", when created man(male and female), he gave him dominion over all living and creeping things. meaning he put man high above animals, plants
et al. So, i cringe whenever i see folks who make excuses for their abusers. That is self hate.
I do understand that evolving to self realization takes time, but pls. The next time someone treats you like you're less of an animal, just remember this picture and say to yourself; I deserve to be treated better than this. Never settle for disrespect except you deserve it.
Be intentional about your life. Take charge....

Absolutely. As we celebrate International Women's Day, my prayer is that every woman would realize their self worth and know that they are enough. Every single woman (no matter how low you may think of yourself) is worthy of something and deserves to be treated right.
