"Make up sex" is a love language that indicates that no matter what happens in a relationship, the couple will always settle their differences with sex at night. I have always considered this statement cringeworthy and often pondered to what extent is this feasible? This subtle narcissistic behavior have kept some people stuck in abusive relationship and marriage.
Whatever happened to dialog? communication is key to me. I believe in dialog, genuine apology and repentance over serious issues. I am a very sensitive person and words stay in my head. I cannot have sex when there is a disconnect. We just have to talk things over for me to feel okay.
Besides being told "i love you" by the person you're in a relationship with, and having sex, do you really feel loved, special respected, valued and cherished, or you're just all about sex? Do you know there are relationships whereby the people involved do not see often? There are married couples who live in different countries, states, cities due to life issues like work, emigration, Immigration et al, who are still in love and stay connected more than spouses or partners living together under same roof?
This leads me to the question: Why are many people all about sex? If your partner has sex with you everyday, will that solve all the problems in your marriage? Do you know someone can stop loving you, have no affection, respect or feelings, but keep having sex with you simply because you make yourself available? Do you know there are couples who have dated, broken up and still have love and respect and would do anything for each other without having sex? Is the problem in most relationships sex or love?
Anyone who knows and values his or her self worth doesn't stay where he or she's not wanted. Stop complaining about being treated like a doormat when you can get off the floor. The first step to truly loving yourself is realizing how you want to be loved and doing away with anything that doesn't feel like love.
So, when couples make up with sex, does it remove the underlying problems that cause the argument, the quarrel or fight, or is it just delusional because this is one tool that narcissistic partner uses that makes the other person believes he or she must be loved to be made love to by an abuser forgetting that even mentally deranged people have sex. Forgetting that prostitution is about sex, but not about love.
What is your opinion on the issue of "make up sex"? This video below says a lot about this topic.
Aminatu Bello, I don't see it as love. I see it as manipulation and narcissistic. I can't do it. I believe in dialog. Communication is key to to me!
O my God Omoye this make up sex of thing makes me wounder sometimes if this is love or just the need to be wanted?
