A man disrupts ex-girlfriend’s traditional wedding, demands refund of N10 million he spent to train her through School.
There was drama and chaos at a traditional wedding ceremony recently as a man stormed the venue and created a scene because his ex-girlfriend who he trained in school, was getting married to another man.
The man arrived the scene in rage and started destroying edible and non edible items of value at the traditional marriage ceremony. According to Martin Junior, the Facebook user who shared the story online, the jilted lover had sponsored her education from secondary school and through university. He clamed to have spent up to N10million sponsoring her education. Upon making all the sacrifices for her, with the thought that they will get married, the lady broke his heart and went for another man after bagging a degree.
When he found out the date and location of her marriage with another lover, her ex stormed the place, scattered the event and demanded for a refund of 10 million naira.
What is your thought on the issue?
If the purpose was to marry her, you better marry her and score a goal as she is going through the University.. But if you want to train her for the good Samaritan that you are, than that's fine and don't expect any thing back in return.. A girl going through the University is very fragile to life.. She will have to mix with other girls and boys and enjoy her youthful age and university experience.. She will end up knowing that she don't have to marry you for a lot of reasons that are are reasonable to her and others. Remember it's her life to live not yours.
But how can you take such issue to court? It's all heartbroken and I doubt if the judicial system will do anything to help on such matter.. playing with someone's emotion is dangerous. If I have to train a girl in the University because I want to marry her, I better get legally married to her immediately she got that admission in her first year or I'll never go on with her school finance.. Because there in school a lot of things do happen and the young girl can be carried away, she will like to live a fulfilled life as a student and enjoy her youths. So I won't advice a man to train a girl in the University…
Hmmmm.... this is not a case of steps taken too far I think.. but I understand the position of the man, if you don't wanna chew or swallow... then rather not bite.
That of men bringing women from Nigeria train them to become nurses and after they want to make them ATM. They demand such women to handover their pay checks to them . If she’s new and or humble she does it willingly but then some of the men now take advantage of such women go to Nigeria be spending money lavishly on women even taking on wives in Nigeria. Then by the time the women put their foot down and refuse handing over their paychecks boom !!!! Trouble starts !!!!
Loretta Oboi, you are so right. It's not always easy. Education opens your eyes to many things. Like they say, if you know better, you do better. It is the same problem with men who bring their wives from Nigeria to study Nursing who end up killing them.
