Sometimes, i am inclined to believing that our number one problem in Africa is religion and the most callous people are religious people because only callousness will make a man play on the intelligence of gullible people. It is about time we separate christianity from religion.
A pastor by name Jeremiah Godman Iziduh of ''House Of David Full Gospel Church'' located at No 13 Jemede Avenue off Giwa Amu, GRA Benin City, Edo State, is currently in police detention, undergoing interrogation for elleged criminal and immoral activities of holding a widow and her five daughters hostage and impregnated two of them, claiming their late father sowed them as seeds to his church before he died. This 44 year old pastor forcefully took over the custody of a widow, Mrs Olulu Akika as his wife and violated her and daughters, also confiscated the property with documents left by the widow's husband, late Mr Henry Akika.
This followed by a petition written to the commissioner of police by the eldest daughter of late Mr Henry Akika, Mrs Maureen, through her lawyer, Barrister Francis Okanigbuan. In the petition dated 27th february, 2020, titled Criminal and Immoral activities of Pastor Izudun, the petitioner alleged that after the death of their father, Pastor Izuduh hypnotized her mother and all five of them and moved them to his house while instilling fear into them with fake vision and prophecies.
The petitioner alleged that Pastor Izuduh cajoled one of her sisters to divorce her husband and come to him and now has two kids with the pastor and he also impregnated another of her sisters currently pregnant for him while he kept the other sisters in an undisclosed location. He stopped them from going to school and only allowed them to work in his church. The petitioner, Mrs Maureen also said that pastor Izuduh has been claiming their late father Mr Henry Akika used his property and one of his daughters to sow seed to the his church, so he decided to take all of them including their mother.
Police sources said that Pastor Izuduh was arrested following court order detailed by Police to investigate his activities, which was supposed to last for two weeks before being charged to court.
We all need to be careful where we go to worship. a lot of these so called pastors are fake. For those who are so quick to judge the victims instead of these fake pastors, you ought to understand that not everyone is made of sterner stuff. What we're witnessing in churches today is the damaging effect of misinterpretation of some bible verses like "fear of God is the beginning of wisdom" and "touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm".
Aje Izuokhai, these Pastors can't be trusted.
Hopefully the pastor was not the one that killed the man, so that he can inherit his family
Fake pastors everywhere
Agbaya pastor
This is so apt....
