have you ever notice a pattern of behavior in people that are completely different from yours that totally perplexes you and you can't but scold them or conclude that people are out of character and you wonder why? I think i have the answer to your your question. It is due to their personality traits,

Personality traits are those characteristic patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviors. These personality traits imply consistency and stability. Before you can define who you are, you have to understand your personality trait. If you don't understand your personality trait, how then are you able to define other people? One must have a level of compassion and understanding to relate well with others. Otherwise, one is bound to be ignorant, judgmental and intolerant of others without a simple knowledge personality traits.

In a nutshell, personality trait can be defined as a quality or characteristic that distinguishes the character, action and attitude of a person. Meaning these personality traits play major role in people's behaviors that may be different from how you behave. Many contemporary personality psychologists believe that there are five basic dimensions of personality, often referred to as the "Big 5" personality traits, which are extraversion (often spelled extroversion), agreeableness, openness, conscientiousness, and neuroticism.

EXTRAVERSION:

Extravertion (extroversion) is characterized by excitability, sociability, talkativeness, assertiveness, assertiveness, and high amount of emotional expressiveness, People who are high in extraversion are outgoing and tend to gain energy in social situations. Being around other people helps them feel energized and excited. They enjoy being the center of attraction and have a wide social circle of friends and acquaintances. People who are low in extraversion (extroverted) tend to be more reserved and have less energy to expand in social settings. Introverts often require a period of solitude and quiet in other to recharge, unlike the extrovert.

AGREEABLENESS:

This personality dimension includes attributes such as trust, altruism, kindness, affection, and other prosocial behaviors. People who are high in agreeableness tend to be more cooperative, feel empathy and concern for other people, enjoy helping and contributing to the happiness of others and assist those in need while those low in this traits tend to be more competitive and sometimes even manipulative, rarely care about how others feel, insult and belittle others.

OPENNESS:

This trait features characteristics such as imagination and insight. People who are high in this trait also tend to have a broad range of interests. They are curious about the world, other people, eager to learn new things and enjoy new experiences. Also, these people are adventurous and creative. People low in this trait are often much more traditional and may struggle with abstract thinking. These people are focused in tackling new challenges and happy to think about abstract things.

CONSCIENTIOUSNESS:

Standard features of this dimension includes high level of thoughtfulness, good impulse control, and goal-directed behaviors. Highly conscientious people tend to be organized and mindful of details. They plan ahead, think about how their behavior affects others and are mindful of deadlines. Conscientious people are good in preparing and finishing important tasks. People who are low in this trait dislike structure, schedules and procrastinate on important tasks.

NEUROTICISM:

This is a trait characterized by sadness, moodiness, and emotional instability. People who are high in this trait tend to experience mood swings, anxiety, irritability and sadness. Those low in this trait tend to be more stable and emotionally resilient. People with neuroticism experience a lot of stress, worry about many different things, get upset easily, experience dramatic shifts in mood, feel anxious and struggle to bounce back after stressful events. People low in this trait are emotionally stable, deal well with stress and rarely feels sad or depressed. Those low in neuroticism are often very relaxed.

There have been questions as to whether the big five personality traits are universal, and researches by many psychologists have shown that the five personality traits are not just universal, but also have biological origins. Psychologist David Buss has proposed that an evolutionary explanation for these five core personality traits suggests that these traits represent qualities that shape our social landscape.

In retrospect, there are hundreds of personality traits, but for the purpose of this study, i needed to focus on the "big 5" and i hope some people learn from this and stop castigating other people based on behavior that differ from theirs. and be less judgmental of other people. Instead of seeing people who are misbehaving, how about we see people who are different? Instead of hating people who are different from us, how about we accept them for who they are?

What if we just let people be their authentic selves and simply live, rather than comparing them to ourselves? What if we just learn to be a little more compassionate, a little more understanding and a little more accommodating? What if we just let love win? Most especially because life is short and no one knows how much more time we have together on this journey of life.

Hmmm, I think people have a little bit of all the traits, but neuroticism feels like a medical condition
