It is the first time the British Government is returning looted money back to Nigeria since the they signed the memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Nigeria.

The amount of looted money is 4.2 million pounds by James Ibori, who pleaded guilty in criminal charge in the UK and was sentenced to 13 years in imprisonment, even though the Delta State government denied the claim that James Ibori stole money. The state said there was no money missing. The state actually had a welcome party for James Ibori when he returned home after serving time prison time in Delta state.

I think this is very commendable of the British Government. Kudos to them. I hope this money goes to the right channel and for the right purpose.

So according to Delta State government and those involve, The British government just want to dash Nigerian 4.2 million dollars in cash bah? If the government will deny this, it means that money won't still go to the right channel, tell me dear, which channel is the right channel? This elites set of people keep doing every thing possible to cover up their wrongs and that show us that they're not ready for any change what so ever

This laudable! IMO since Delta originally claimed no money was looted it should be returned to the national Treasury and be used where needed the most
