A single mum of one has died of alleged suicide in Port Harcourt after expressing her disappointment on failed promises on facebook on June19th, 2020. The lady who goes by the name Folasade Eloho Bello took to facebook to express her disappointment with a status post reading:

"Do people really understand what it means giving someone hope? I guess not. Because if they did, they wouldn't just postpone or cancel. Don't promise if you know it's just for fun. Some of actually live for that time, get disappointed and lose hope or the courage to to go on. Well, thanks for all the broken promises. I look forward to peace ahead"

Most of her friends didn't take the post to heart because they all thought she was joking because she ended her post with a smile emoji, only for her social worker who had been working with her for some time now, due to depression to announce two days later that she allegedly committed suicide by drinking deadly liquid on June 21st, 2020. The social worker also said Princess Folasade was coping with her depression by reading his self-help book before her sudden demise.

Princess Folasade Eloho Bello is survived by her only son. May her soul rest in peace.

We all know times are hard and everyone is struggling to keep their head above water, but we must try to stop making empty promises. Simply say you don't have so folks can look elsewhere. It is possible to think you could be of assistance, but when things ain't going as you planned, let them know rather than ignoring people. It is very important. Many people are frustrated and losing hope. May God comfort her family and friends she left behind.

Depression is real. We just just have to keep pushing against all odds.. May God help us all.

This is sad :-( No situation is worth killing yourself for, especially when you have a child/children who depend on you. But then again depression is real, and if she was actually being treated for depression then am truly sorry that it had to end like this. I just pray there is someone left to look after her son.

This year is one of the toughest I can only imagine in recent times. It is not for the feeble hearted at all.

No matter, the situation, I don't think this lady has taken the right decision. I know mental health issue is of different levels and I can never assume I understand what she's been through, because I was never in her shoes.

People should stop raising other people's hope, especially when they know they can never be of any meaningful assistance to the vulnerables.

I sympathise with the family of Princess Folashade, especially her son. May her soul rest in peace.
