A team of Nigerian women were apprehended by the police at Urumukuta junction in Port Harcourt for trading with infant babies. The initiator of deal, by name Aunty Ify had called a lady called Miss Chichi to acquaint her with the deal to sell a baby belonging to a certain miss Chioma at the price of N950.000 and told her to look for a buyer. So Chichi placed a call to Mrs Rosalyn Nwankocha who is based at Umuahia, the capital city of Abia state in the southeastern part of Nigeria who hurriedly took the next available bus to Port Harcourt with an accomplice called Ijeoma to meet with Chichi.
On getting to Port Harcourt, Miss Chichi Added a N50.000 commission to the original amount N950.000 as her cut and sold the baby to Mrs Nwankocha. After paying for the baby, Mrs Nwankocha took the baby Umuahia and sold the baby a couple who names were withheld as at the time of the arrest for N1,100.000.
Mrs Nwankocha made had made another trip back to Port Harcourt with her accomplice Ijioma for the purchase of another baby, but the deal backfired and were arrested by the police in Port Harcourt with the mother of the child and the middle person Miss Chichi.
